2023 welcomes another year I have the opportunity to work with The Rio Grande Valley Symphony Orchestra at the MPAC Center.  Obviously the pandemic really shook operations for them so being able to bring back the the Education Concert series was a big deal.    Maestro Peter Dabrowski walked the kids though a series of pieces, some familiar and some new to the kiddos.   The kids had a great time and the auditorium was PACKED wall to wall, and they were into it.  It kind of reminded me of being a kid and the elementary would take us to the ORIGINAL McAllen Convention Center to hear the orchestra play something that we were studying in class.  #Memories

Happy Monday morning folks!  There’s not a lot of time to sit here and rest, we have a full day of catching up with head shot sessions taken last week and even some of our first Christmas sessions of the year.  I don’t know how everyone else feels but I DO have the habit of taking the Rio Grande Valley for granted sometimes.  It hasn’t felt like Christmas because most of the days have been about the 80 degree mark according to KRGV’s Tim Smith, but while a lot of the nation begins prep for snow / ice…we still have a lot of green trees and sunny skies to shoot with.  I’ll take it.
